Eric Litwin, the original author of the Pete the Cat books, will be visiting Algonquin next month! He will be giving 2 performances at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Algonquin on Thursday November 8, 2018. St. John’s is located at 300 Jefferson St., Algonquin IL 60102. The first performance will be from 1:15-2:00 pm and the second performance will be from 2:45-3:30 pm. This event is open to everyone, so you don’t need your library card to sign up.
TICKET INFORMATION:
All attendees — kids and adults — will need a ticket and we will start giving out those tickets on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9:00 am. Tickets will be available at both the Harnish and Eastgate buildings. They are free but it will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once they run out, they are out, so be sure to visit the library on Monday morning if you are a big fan. Please keep your tickets safe though because come show time, you will need to present your physical, paper ticket to attend the performance.
SIGNING INFORMATION:
Mr. Litwin will be signing his books; however he will not be selling them and neither will we. It is important to note that he may only sign the first four Pete the Cat books, as those are the only ones that he wrote. The other books were written by other authors, so it is actually illegal for him to take credit for their work! If you are planning on bringing a Pete book for him to sign, here are your options:
In addition to Pete the Cat, Mr. Litwin also has the Groovy Joe book series and The Nuts book series.
