National Library Week is coming up, April 8-14, and we are having fun celebrating! We clearly agree libraries are pretty fabulous, and we are lucky to have great patrons, too! So to celebrate the awesomeness of the library, we are doing extra fun things on top of our usual fun things.
Youth Services has something especially sweet to do with our "GUESS HOW MANY?" contest, open to children of all ages at Harnish and Eastgate any time during library hours April 2-13. Do your best guestimating with a jar full of Starburst and guess how many delicious little candies are in there.
Whoever guesses the closest wins THE. WHOLE. JAR. OF. STARBURSTS.
Get creative with us, too! Our "Bookmark It!" stations are set up April 2-13 at both branches so you can make your own book mark. Drop-in and see what design or collage you can make on your bookmark with materials like stickers, magazine pages, scissors, glue and crayons. Best yet, when you are done with your bookmark, show it to a librarian to get entered in a drawing for a gift card! Creativity is so rewarding 🙂
