Light Painting Photos

Sebastian & Sophia

Here are some photos from the Light Painting Program we had on Friday, June 29th 2018:

What is light painting? Traditional painting involved paint and a canvas. With light painting, the canvas is the air and the paint can be any source of light — we used glow sticks and flashlights. In order to capture these photos, we used the free Pablo app.  Pablo works like a long exposure camera. Instead of capturing the image right away in one second, the camera lens continues to capture the image over a longer period of time. Light painting photos work best when captured in the dark or at night.

Anyone can download Pablo, as well as any other light painting or long exposure camera app, to a tablet or a smart phone. *Hint Hint* This would be a totally awesome way to experience 4th of July fireworks or sparklers!
